Hello! My name is
Xyla
Rescue Story
Xyla came into care as a surrender and is ready to find her furever home!
My Bio
Hi, my name is Xyla. I am a sophisticated girl despite my underbite. Outside of playtime, I make sure all my toys are piled nicely in my bed and occasionally you can find me sleeping on top of them. I love a schedule and will adjust easily to your routine. As long as I am the only furry thing in the family, I will be such a lady in the house!
When asked, I wait to go out the door and sit to be fed. I am starting to learn that the home is a safe place and I do not need to be a guard dog but it may take a little time in a new home to remember this. I am working on walking nice on leash and do pretty good as long as I don’t come across other animals. That being said, I don’t need to go for daily walks. I’m happy playing in the yard and doing mental enrichment in the home too!
I have been described as a chunky goofball with a lot of love to give! My forever family must be ok with excessive kisses and be able to deliver belly rubs often! I likely will never be able to live with other animals but will give my whole heart to my humans❤️.
I am good to be left loose in the house when alone. I don’t get into anything, I just snooze! My ideal home would have someone around more often than not though, and would also be a calm environment without a lot of stress. If I sound like a good fit, apply today!
Love, Xyla
Behaviour Note: Xyla is reactive when she sees other animals. She is working on this with her foster home and is making progress, but she will need someone to continue to work with her going forward. Xyla is on Fluoxetine, which has helped her with some of her reactivity. Part of the adoption process will include at least one session with her trainer to set everyone up for success!
