Shay

Hello, my name is Shay and I am looking for a new home, preferably one that has minimal activity! Because I am a senior cat, a senior human would be awesome.

I love to be petted frequently throughout the day.  My foster mom says when I purr, I sound like an engine. I am not a big fan of being picked up but it will be OK  for short periods of time, especially if there is some petting involved.

Some of my hobbies include bird watching, sun bathing and napping.

When I am done with playtime (usually after suppertime), I like to find a quiet spot to curl up, usually on my foster mom’s lap where I get even more attention! I hardly ever jump on counters and tables but if I do, a stern “no” reminds me not to do so.

I am a very good girl with my litter box and scratch pad to the delight of foster mom who doesn’t have to worry about the furniture.

I do enjoy love and affection. It might take me only a day or two to get comfortable with anyone new.  Company is not a problem.
