Lilac – on hold for applications

Hey everyone! My name is Lilac. I’m a playful and adventurous puppy who loves everyone and everything! I enjoy learning new tricks as long as there are treats involved (hee hee). I play a lot and then sprawl out on the couch or floor for the evening!

I sleep through the night in a crate, but really like cuddling my foster humans on the couch or in bed before it’s time to go to sleep. I am also crate trained for times when I have to be home alone. I am quickly learning how to respect personal space and not jump on people even if I’m excited to meet them. I am fully house-trained and paw at the door when I need to go outside! My leash manners are coming along nicely, but I get a little uneasy when cars drive by. Foster mom distracts me with tasty treats so I don’t get scared. 

I am a smart little pup and know “sit”, “lay down”, “shake a paw” and “crate”, and will sit and wait for the OK from my foster parents at mealtime! 😋

I love playing outside in the yard and will keep myself entertained for hours. I also like to go to the off-leash park to play with all my dog friends! My recall is getting better every day and foster mom never has to chase me around the park when it’s time to leave. I’ll happily get a boost into the car for a ride anytime. 

I am currently staying in a home with a small dog and a big dog and love them both. There is also a human baby here and I know to be extra gentle around her. I like being around the cat too, but he’s not too playful so I don’t pay too much attention to him.
