My Bio

Hello humans! I am Jonas, your friendly neighbourhood curly shag-rug. At 12 years old, I have mastered the art of being perpetually happy. Seriously, I am never out of sorts. Life is simply too good, especially because treats exist, and being with my people is a very close second favourite thing (though treats still win, let’s be honest).

When I’m not busy playing catch with myself, I love a good game of tug-of-war or fetch with my foster parents. I am an absolute angel in the house and the car—never an accident, never get sick, and I consider car rides to be a spiritual experience. I also happen to be a phenomenal gardening assistant; I just hang out and explore the yard while my humans dig in the dirt. I just love being where my people are!

Speaking of my circle, I share a roof with two cats. They are totally fine with me now, once they got used to my daily greeting ritual of being gently inhaled through my very large nostrils.

My Quirks & Perks

The Stumble-Foot Strut:
When I run, I look precisely like a baby giraffe trying out its legs for the very first time. It’s majestic, I promise.

The Slow-Mo Stroll:
I love going for walks, but only the nice, slow, leisurely kind where I can thoroughly peruse the terrain and stop to smell all the roses.

Gravity Defying (Not):
Because of a touch of arthritis in my older age, I’m not a big jumper—which is honestly a win for everyone involved.

The Battery Trap:
I honestly don’t realize I’m a senior dog, so my puppy energy can sometimes completely tucker me out. A little regulation from my humans helps keep me from overdoing it.

Dietary Royalty:
Full disclosure – I have allergies and eat a special veterinary food. I am a very good boy about eating it, though!

I would fit right into many kinds of homes and families, as long as you can shower me with the love, care, and attention that I thrive on.
