Igasho

My name is Igasho; which in the Native American language means “Wanderer”. My foster parents gave me this name as I like to wander around the house to ensure all my family members are doing okay. I am a loving, affectionate, handsome boy who loves his foster family very much. I sometimes get anxious when my family steps out of the house for a little while, however they give me calming drops to help me stay calm until they return.

I love going for walks with my two sisters and running in open areas where I can burn off some of my energy. If you happen to approach me, please walk slowly towards me as I get nervous when meeting new people. I love being cuddled, petted and being called “good boy”. I love chewing on bones and chew toys. I love it when my family throws treats into a plastic pool filled with toys for me to find. I am in the process of being trained on my walks, on my manners and building up my confidence around other people and other animals. I love receiving treats after I have completed these tasks successfully!

I would love to find a family that will have an abundance of love, calmness, patience and support to help me become a more relaxed doggie. I would also love to have a brother or sister that I can play with and to keep me company throughout the day. I would also love if one of my family members would be able to stay with me throughout the day.

I am looking forward to meeting you so that I can provide joy and unconditional love to your home and also receive that kind of love.

Behaviour note: Igasho is quite fearful of sudden sounds and noises, and cautious of new people at first (men more than ladies). With proper introductions he warms up relatively quickly. He also has some separation anxiety when left alone. He would benefit from having another dog to take cues from.
