Hello! My name is
Boris – On hold for applications
Boris was brought into GEARS’ care from our outreach community and is ready to find his forever home!
Hey everyone! My name is Boris but my foster mom calls me Good Boy a lot so that must be my middle name. I am a super friendly boy and people say I’m pretty calm for a teenager. I usually give visitors polite greetings, although once in a while I forget my good manners and jump up. I love hanging outside in the sun or napping when my mom is working at her desk. She says I’m easy to have around.
Even though I’m a calm boy I still have some puppy energy. I LOVE running and playing with other dogs and many of them seem to love playing with me too. Sometimes I come on a bit strong especially with the little guys. I guess I am a lot bigger than them! It would be great to have another dog in my new family – I think we’d have lots of fun playing and wrestling. As for cats, they are cool to chase and I don’t know what would happen if I caught up with one, so probably better not to have them around. I am used to kids and am gentle with the little ones.
I’m house trained. I sleep soundly throughout the night on my dog bed and don’t need to be crated overnight. I still go in a crate when my family goes out during the day just in case I decide to explore new things that aren’t for me. I’m still learning – but I’m a dog and everything smells so interesting!
I know sit, down, shake a paw and I’m working on stay and come. Loose leash walking is coming along too. I am very food motivated and also pretty smart!
I’m a sweet, affectionate boy who loves belly rubs and snuggles. I’m looking so forward to finding my forever home. Maybe that’s you!
